The Egypt international’s agent has gone to England to talk with the Reds regarding his client’s contract, as per recent reports.

Mohamed Salah

’s contract is due to expire in 2023 and his future is unknown as he has yet to reach an agreement with

regarding a new contract.

The Reds did not spend much in the summer transfer market as they decided to focus more on tying down their key players to pen new deals.

Virgil van Dijk, Fabinho, Alisson Becker, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Jordan Henderson have all signed new contracts this year.

Salah, however, is harder to convince as the forward, who met the back of the net seven times in the Premier League this season, aims to be one of the highest-paid players in the league.

The reds, on the other hand, are careful about their spending and their offer to the forward who is about to turn 30.

As per reports from the Sunday Mirror, the Egypt international’s agent has gone to England to discuss his future with the club.

Ramy Abbas wants Liverpool to agree with a £500,000 per week salary, which would make him the best-paid player at Anfield.

Jurgen Klopp is pleased with Salah’s performance and agrees with his demands after their 5-0 victory over Watford.

Come on, who is better than him?”

Klopp said.

“We don’t have to talk about what [Lionel] Messi and [Cristiano] Ronaldo have done for world football and their dominance but, right now, he is the best.

“His performance was massive. The pass for the first goal was great and the second goal was special. He is top, we all see it.”
