Koeman considers using Aguero and Fati against Valencia

The Blaugrana boss is happy to have the pair back ahead of his side’s next La Liga game.

Barcelona will face Valencia at Camp Nou on Sunday. The Blaugrana have struggled to find their rhythm at the start of the new season, but the return of two key players might change the situation in the Catalans’ favor.

Barcelona boss Ronald Koeman will be able to use the services of Sergio Aguero and Ansu Fati for his side’s upcoming battle against Valencia. Aguero has recently returned to Barca’s training sessions, hoping to make his debut for the Spanish giants following his free move from Manchester City this summer.

"He has improved a lot lately. He played 20, 25 minutes in Wednesday's [practice] game and it is going well,”

Koeman said about Aguero’s situation.

"But he lacks the rhythm of the games and a certain physique. He will get that with games. There is a possibility that he will be on the squad list. His quality is not questioned, he can give a lot to this team. Especially upfront."

Barca’s upcoming matches are expected to be crucial for Koeman’s future at the club. The Catalans will play three home games in eight days against

Valencia

,

Dynamo Kyiv

, and

Real Madrid

, hoping to revive their form under the Dutchman.

Ansu Fati is another player who has recently returned from injury, waiting to prove his abilities as Barca’s new number 10. However, Koeman believes Fati is still not ready to participate fully in his side’s tight scheduled matches.

"Every day he is doing better because he has been away for a long time," Koeman said of Fati. "You have to think with Ansu that there are three games this week and he cannot play the entire three games. We must decide what is best for him and the team."

After their match against Valencia, the Catalans will face Dynamo Kyiv in the Champions League on Wednesday. Koeman’s team will then host Real Madrid in their first El Clasico after Lionel Messi’s departure on October 24.
