The Spain international has decided to extend his stay at Camp Nou for five more years.

, aka Pedri, has extended his contract with Barca until 2026.
Pedri, who had less than 12 months on his contract with the Blaugrana, is among the 30 finalists for the 2021 Ballon d'Or and the best young player of the year.
The young midfielder joined Barcelona from Las Palmas in the summer of 2020 and had an outstanding performance last season. He has made 56 appearances for Barca so far and has scored four goals.
A Barcelona statement on the 18-year-old’s new contract reads:
"FC Barcelona and the player Pedro 'Pedri' Gonzalez have reached an agreement to renew his contract until June 30, 2026. The termination clause is set at €1billion."
Pedri climbed his way up to Barcelona’s senior squad at the age of 17 and was soon called up to Spain national team. The restless playmaker established himself as one of La Roja's key fugures at Euro 2020 and the Tokyo Olympics.
The Spain international recently suffered a minor injury, however, he will have no problem accompanying his fellow teammates in Sunday’s La Liga clash against Valencia.
