Real Madrid take another hit as Alaba returns with a knee injury
David Alaba may miss Clasico with Barcelona due to an untimely injury.
It was recently revealed that
Real Madriddefender Eder Militao has suffered an injury during the international games. The Brazilian defender, who has become a key figure in Carlo Ancelotti’s squad this season, is expected to miss the upcoming El Clásico against Barcelona.
However, this was not an end to the international break nightmares for Real, as it was recently reported that another Los Blancos’ key player,
David Alaba, has also come back from national duty with an injury. According to the reports, the 29-year-old suffered a knee injury during the Austria’s World Cup qualification match against Denmark on Tuesday.
Although initial reports indicate that Alaba’s injury is not critical, it remain unclear whether the Austria international will be able to accompany his fellow teammates in the upcoming Champions League and La Liga clashes against Shakhtar Donetsk and Barcelona.
Nevertheless, more examinations are to be conducted on his knee to determine the exact extent of the injury.
