Kessie yet to reach an agreement with Milan

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Ivory Coast international and the Rossoneri are trying to reach an agreement over a new contract.

Based on the newspaper reports, no developments have been made in the talks as both sides are adamant in what they demand and offer.

The Serie A giants have offered the 24-year-old a new contract that would keep him until 2026, with a salary of €6.5m per season. However, the midfielder is demanding €8m and neither of them are willing to close the gap in the negotiations.

Milan do not want to lose the Ivorian on a free transfer like Hakan Calhanoglu and Gigio Donnarumma in the 2021 summer, but reports claim that they have not yet reached an agreement.
