“I don’t think about Real Madrid return” Diaz focused on Milan dream

The Spaniard is confident about his side's Scudetto chances this season.

Having collected 16 points from their six matches, Milan are placed behind league leaders Napoli on the Serie A table. The Rossoneri enjoyed a similar run of form in the early stages of the last season, but they were ultimately denied of silverware by their squad’s lack of depth. Longing for a reinforced squad, Stefano Pioli’s side added several players to their ranks in the summer transfer window.

, who spent a year-long loan spell at San Siro last season, joined the Rossoneri on a new two-year loan deal this summer. The 22-year-old says he is happy to continue his football at the Italian club.

“Milan are a great team, I felt the affection of the club and the fans. I had a good time last year and now I am also super happy to be here,”

Asked about his return to Real Madrid, the young midfielder responded:

“I don’t think about that [Real Madrid return], really,” he said.

“I enjoy the present and I am pleased [to be here]. I want to continue helping Milan with goals, assists and above all, a lot of work.

“I am very grateful to him [Ancelotti], but right now I am focused on Milan.”

Milan are set to face Atletico Madrid in the Champions League on Wednesday, before meeting Atalanta in their next league match four days later.
