The ex-Valencia star, who is currently coaching Argentina, was robbed at gunpoint.

Roberto Ayala

played for Valencia in more than 200 games from 2000 and 2007, contributing to two La Liga titles and also a UEFA Cup.

He is now part of the coaching team in Argentina with Lionel Scaloni and Pablo Aimar, grabbing the Copa America this summer.

However, his success for his country did not protect him from the horrible incident he endured in Argentina.

His car was stopped in San Cayetano, Luján, by three attackers, who, as per reports from Mundo Deportivo, threw rocks to stop the car and pointed guns at Ayala and his driver.

They took Ayala’s mobile and €5,600 in cash, but he is safe and someone called the police upon seeing the incident.
