Aston Villa hopes to benefit from the presence of these two players in the match against the Toffees.
After 10 days of quarantine in Croatia, Emi Martinez and Emi Buendia will probably be able to accompanyAston Villa
in their match againstEverton
The Argentine stars plan to return to the UK on Saturday morning, a few hours before the announcement of the squad for the match against Everton, and a decision will be made about their presence in this match. After returning from South America, they were in Croatia and continued their training in that country. Croatia is on the UK green list, and Martinez and Buendia do not need to be quarantined in a hotel when they return to the UK.
Dean Smith said:
"We are expecting them to join us tomorrow (Saturday) morning and I'll assess it then and decide if they'll be involved or not.
"We have got their numbers of what they have been doing each day. That gets sent straight to the performance department and passed onto the coaches.
"They are in a good place physically which is what we need to know. I'll assess that in the morning and wait until tomorrow."
Aston Villa lost 3-0 to Chelsea in the absence of their two Argentine players. Now they hope that with the return of these two players, the situation will change for them.
