The Inter boss says he will face a coach that has great experience in European competitions.
Inter will face Real Madrid in their opening Champions League match of the season on Wednesday. Having parted ways with Antonio Conte at the end of the last season, the Serie A champions will chase European glory under their new managerSimone Inzaghi
The Nerazzurri were held to a 2-2draw
against Sampdoria in a league game on Sunday, but Inzaghi says his side are well prepared for their upcoming match against the Blancos.
“We have recovered well from Genoa, and we will try to prepare as best we can. It will be very, very insidious, they have a great history, coach and players.”
“We played with one man down for 20 minutes, there’s regret,” Inzaghi added. “Real have recovered [Luka] Modric and they dribble well.
“We must be good in the non-possession phase to make them run a lot.”
Inzaghi is aware of Real Madrid boss
’s experience in the European games. The 62-year-old has won the Champions League three times, two titles with Milan in 2003 and 2007 and a triumph with the Blancos in 2014.
“As a coach, between the Champions League and the Europa League, I’m close to 50 games,”
“Ancelotti obviously has many more, we will try to prepare ourselves in the best possible way.
“We are playing with a knife between our teeth and hope to have our best day. In any case, it will be a wonderful evening, in front of our fans.
“We want to do it, knowing that it will be very demanding. Ancelotti is one of the most successful coaches in history, we have exchanged a few words many times in the past, it’s a pleasure to talk football with him.
“Tomorrow, we need a perfect match.”
After their match against the Spanish giants, the Nerazzurri will continue their Serie A campaign with a match against Bologna on Saturday.
