Koeman had an attitude with me - Pjanic

The Bosnian departed the Blaugrana this summer to join Besiktas after a disappointing campaign.

Miralem Pjanic

made a move to

Barcelona

in a deal with

Juventus

that saw Arthur go the other way, but he only played in 19 league games in the 2020-21 season.

He and

Ronald Koeman

did not share a good relationship and it was even noticeable to Lionel Messi.

Besiktas wanted me strongly in the last days of the transfer market and I couldn’t stay in Barcelona with Koeman, I would have lost another year and I didn’t want to,”

Pjanic said in comments carried by Tuttosport and

Football Italia

.<em>

“Koeman had an attitude with me that no one understood, not even Messi. Leo, last year, told me several times; ‘But why doesn’t he let you play? Has something happened?'”

The Bosnia international broke through at Metz and he then moved to Lyon in 2008. He played there for three seasons before joining Roma. He then secured a move to Juventus, where he was praised for his top displays.

The Catalans will have a hard campaign as they are without Antoine Griezmann and Messi. They are relying on younger players to fight for the La Liga title as well as the Champions League. Their season opener was a 4-2 loss at the hands of Real Sociedad before they drew the battle against Athletic Bilbao. They won the game with Getafe 2-1, however. They are going to take on Bayern Munich next.
