Matteo Guendouzi has been a regular starter for his side in Ligue 1 while Arsenal stays goalless.

Matteo Guendouzi

, who had failed to find a place for himself in

Mikel Arteta’s

lineup, has been a regular starter in

Marseille

in a situation that the

Gunners

have been goalless in the Premier League and sit last on the table, while the central midfielder has managed to score one goal in his four starts in Ligue.

Matteo Guendouzi was an important part of Unai Emery’s plans, but he started struggling for playing time since Mikel Arteta joined the club, so he was sent to Ligue 1 side Marseille with a one-year loan deal getting a chance to return to his best form and show his quality so well that he has been called for national duty and will be a part of France national team in the international break.

The France international joined the North London side in 2018 and has made 82 appearances for the club, but he is spending his second loan deal after his spell at Hertha Berlin, where he played 24 games for the Bundesliga side scoring two goals. Now he has joined a Marseille on loan with a deal that contains a buying option.

The 22-year-old has been so good in the first four games of the Ligue 1 that he has been called up to play for the national team filling Corentin Tolisso’s place.
