Barcelona’s Ilaix Moriba to join Leipzig instead of Tottenham

As per reports from Max Bielefeld, the Blaugrana starlet is on the verge of making a move to Leipzig.

yesterday, but his entourage told the Premier League club that the starlet would like to make a move to Bundesliga. The 18-year-old’s price tag for

Leipzig

will be around €20m and the Guinean midfielder will be Marcel Sabitzer’s replacement.

The youngster made his way through

Barcelona

’s first team last season, earning himself some minutes under the reign of Ronald Koeman and he will be a future prospect with Barca ahead of him. Many clubs entered negotiations with the Catalans, with Moriba’s contract due to reach its end next summer.

The La Liga giants had two options, either cash in on him or risk losing him for free next year, with Barcelona president making himself clear that the former would be the choice.

The 18-year-old wants to switch his international allegiance to the country he was born in, Guinea, from where he was raised in, Spain.
