Alexander Arnold and Mason Greenwood recovered from injury.
Two important players in
Gareth Southgate’s
squad
Trent Alexander-Arnold
and
Mason Greenwood
, who missed the Euro 2020 due to injury, are now ready to return and help their national team. Both players have already played two games in the Premier League, and they are willing to help their side in the World Cup qualifiers.
Gareth Southgate’s men will face Hungary, Andorra, and Poland in World Cup qualifiers next month, and since Greenwood has scored in both
Manchester Unitedgames, and Arnold has helped
Liverpoolin two back-to-back clean sheets, they are expected to be among Southgate’s candidates for his squad.
Mason Greenwood was called up for the England squad in the Euro 2020 and was ruled out due to his injury, he hasn’t played for his side since September 2020 when he was sent home for breaching the coronavirus protocols, and now it will be his chance to return and prove himself again in the national team.
Alexander-Arnold has a different story than the one of Greenwood's as he had been a regular player for his national team before his injury making four national team appearances, but now it seems like the competition in his position is too rough as he sees Kyle Walker, Reece James and Kieran Trippier a good form, and we have to wait and see if he gets the chance to prove himself as Gareth Southgate’s first choice again or not.
