Monaco striker Pietro Pellegri joined Milan

AS Monaco striker Pietro Pellegri moved to Milan on loan with an option to buy which could become an obligation if certain conditions are met.

AS Monaco

released a statement this afternoon confirming

Pietro Pellegri

’s transfer to

Milan

on loan with an option to buy.

Milan also released a statement in which they added that it could become an obligation to buy if certain conditions are met.

Pellegri will be given shirt number 64 this season.

The deal is reportedly worth €1 million for the loan and option to buy for a further €6 million plus performance-related bonuses.

Pellegri became famous at Genoa where he set a record by becoming the first player born in the 21st century to score a goal in the top five European leagues which was during their 3-2 game against Roma in May 2017.

He was also set another record of becoming the youngest ever player to score a Serie A brace as he was only 16 years and 184 days old.

The striker then joined Monaco from Genoa for €20.9 million plus bonuses in January 2018.

However, due to the injuries his career progress stalled at Monaco as he only made 23 appearances for the French club during which he scored two goals and provide one assist.
