Tuchel intends to give Ziyech more playing time

Chelsea boss Tuchel has suggested that Ziyech is going to get more playing time this season.

Hakim Ziyech

struggled for playing time at

Chelsea

last season, and there have been many rumors and suggestions about his future at the club;

AC Milan

was reportedly chasing the Morocco international, but

Thomas Tuchel

has somehow ruled out the high-profile midfielder’s departure, saying that Ziyech is going to play more often in his team in the new season considering his performance in the preseason.

"Any partnership could be very promising when Hakim [Ziyech] plays on a high level, on his level,"

the German told the media on Friday

.

"I think he was very promising in pre-season. He had some very good matches last season also some difficulties and hard decisions from me to take. But the pre-season was very promising and pretty impressive from him.

"The attitude which he arrived here was absolutely the right attitude to grow and to show personality. This is what he did. He was fantastic from day one. He was decisive in every single friendly game we played and he was decisive in the first competitive game, the final against Villarreal.

"Unfortunately, he got injured so now we need to take care of it because on one side we are very happy he is back on the pitch, on the other a shoulder injury can be a bit tricky. Tomorrow is decisive for him. We will see how free he is with the shoulder."

The 28-year-old, who had 28 appearances for the Blues last season, showed some impressive performances in the preseason, but the bad news for the fans was that he was injured in Chelsea’s clash in the UEFA Super Cup, and he seemed to be facing a few weeks on the sidelines, suffering from a shoulder injury, but he returned with surprisingly early recovery, and he even may have a chance to get a few minutes of action in Chelsea’s Premier League clash against Arsenal.
