The Bianconeri have been eyeing the Italy international for months now as he impressed during the 2020-21 season at Sassuolo, who finished the Serie A season sitting eighth on the table.

Arsenal were also eager to get his signature, but Goal reports that the 23-year-old would rather join the Serie A giants.

Juventus are going to pay €5m to have Locatelli on an initial loan deal and the other €30m (£26m/$35m) will be paid when his deal is permanent.

He will sign a five-year contract and his arrival will be pronounced on Tuesday after he underwent his medical.

Locatelli will compete for game time with Federico Bernardeschi, Dejan Kulusevski, Adrien Rabiot and Aaron Ramsey.

He has proved himself of being able to handle the demands of featuring at the highest level, having contributed to the Euro 2020 victory with Italy.
