The 6-time Ballon d’Or winner had an exceptional career at the club he spent 21 years of his senior career with, Barcelona, the Argentine controversially joined Paris Saint-Germain as a free agent this summer.

Although the Argentine couldn’t make his PSG debut

in their Ligue 1 opener against Strasbourg at Parc des Princes, he was unveiled in a Paris Saint-Germain shirt before the match as fans gave him an ‘incredible’ reception.

The Argentine turned the football world upside down when he left Barcelona to join Neymar and Mbappe in the French capital. With Sergio Ramos, Georginio Wijnaldum, Achraf Hakimi, and Gianluigi Donnarumma, the Parisians enjoyed a busy transfer market.

"It has been a very special week, I want to thank everybody for their welcome," he told the Parc des Princes turf after that introduction.

"It was incredible, I feel so happy, hopeful, and delighted to be experiencing this new stage. I hope we can enjoy this year."

Messi is already

ruled out of PSG’s upcoming clash at Brest

as Mauricio Pochettino believes the Argentine needs more rest after winning Copa America with Argentina this summer.

"When will we see Leo? This is his second day of training and it's been a month since he played his last game, the Copa America final," Pochettino signaled

in a press conference on Friday.

"We will take it step by step, getting to know one another. Our priority is for him to be in good shape, feel good and when he is in top condition make his debut."
