The former England star believes that the media has taken Harry Kane's absence lightly.
Former Manchester United star Rio Ferdinand believes that if Paul Pogba had not appeared in his team's training camp like Harry Kane, the British media would have filmed by helicopter and medias would covered more.
After the holidays, Harry Kane was expected to appear for training atSpurs
, but the media claimed that he was absent from today's training session. The England captain has reportedly agreed a deal with Daniel Levy to leave Tottenham this month. Manchester City has been declared his most serious destination and the Tottenham star intends to leave the team to win titles. However, Ferdinand believes that the media coverage of the issue was not as expected and that if Pogba had done the same, it would have made headlines.
He wrote on his Twitter account:
"Let Paul Pogba not turn up for Man Utd training and see how the English media and fans go mad!
"Helicopters and police forces [would be] out searching [for] his location immediately.
"And I'm not saying that Kane and his tactics to leave are wrong (if we are to believe what's being said). Harry wants trophies and he isn't getting any younger."
