Trippier to wait until September for Manchester United move

The Red Devils have been widely connected with a summer transfer for the England international, and despite remaining as a vital player in Diego Simeone‘s plans, the 30-year-old is rumored to be keen on a move back to England.

Manchester Evening News

Kieran Trippier

 is eager to secure a switch to 

Manchester United

 this transfer window and is flexible on waiting until the August 31 deadline if necessary as he believes he’ll be a part of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s revamp plans for the upcoming Premier League season.

 

Trippier's deal at the Wanda Metropolitano has two years left on it, and Atleti's plan is for him to finish it and improve on the outstanding form he displayed last season to assist Simeone's side win a trophy.

Already in the La Liga market, 

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

 

signed the 2018 World Cup winner Raphael Varane

 from Real Madrid. The two clubs have reached an agreement of £41 million for the defender and he is expected to complete his transfer after a medical. It is believed the actual price is £34 million-plus £7m add-ons with the payments being spread out over several years.

Varane is United’s second major summer signing following the arrival of Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund As 

the Red Devils will kick off their Premier League season against Leeds United on August 14
