Liverpool striker Harry Wilson signs five-year deal with Fulham
Liverpool striker Harry Wilson has joined Fulham on a five-year deal for a reported fee of £12 million.
Wilson
did not take part in
Liverpool’s pre-season friendly against
Mainzon Friday and had already agreed personal terms earlier this week with the Championship club.
The 24-year-old has spent most of his career on loan, playing at
Hull City,
Derby County,
Bournemouth, and
Cardiff City, where he scored seven goals and set up 12 assists in 37 games for the Bluebirds.
He was also part of the
Wales
squad for the Euro 2020 and played in the 2-0 victory over
Turkey
and defeats to
Italy
and
Denmark
.
With
Fulham, he should get the opportunity to be a regular starter for
Marco
Silva
as the Portuguese manager is looking to get the Cottagers back into the Premier League at the first time of asking.
Speaking to FFCtv after signing, Wilson said
: "I'm delighted to sign for Fulham. From my first chat with the gaffer on the phone, I loved what he was saying and felt that he understood me as a player, and that played a massive role in me coming here.
"The ambition of the club to get back into the Premier League appealed to me as that's where we all want to be. I'm hoping I can come here, have a good season and help get the club back into the Premier League."
