Arsenal set to make third offer for sheff Utd’s stopper Aaron Ramsdale

Arsenal are reportedly considering a third offer for Sheffield United goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale.

The Gunners have already seen their last two bids for the 23-year-old goalkeeper rejected.

But according to a report from

Sky Sport

,

Mikel Arteta

's side are ready to make a third offer worth in the region of £25m to bring the

Sheffield United

goalkeeper to the Emirates.

Ramsdale, capped at U18 to U21 level by England, rejoined Sheffield United last summer in an £18.5m deal from

Bournemouth

.

He was part of England's Euro 2020 squad that reached the final but is yet to make his full international debut.

Arsenal

manager Mikel Arteta has a goalkeeper problem this summer with

Bernd Leno

linked with a move to Germany. However, it seems unlikely for the German stopper to leave the North London club this summer.

Brighton

’s

Mat Ryan

spent the second half of last season on loan in North London but sealed a move to LaLiga side

Real Sociedad

this summer.

Ramsdale was Sheffield United’s player of the season and has done enough to attract the interest of Arsenal. The Gunners are going through a major restructuring after a disappointing 2020/21 campaign.

Two players,

Nuno Tavares

from

Benfica

and

Albert Sambi Lokonga

from

Anderlecht

, have already been signed, with a third –

Ben White

– expected to join Arteta’s squad soon.
