Everton join Wolves in transfer race for Rafael Leao

The Milan striker has attracted interest from a host of European sides ahead of the next season.

Having left Lille with a €30m deal,

Rafael Leao

joined AC Milan in 2019. Despite showing signs of his best form, the Sporting CP youth product has struggled to maintain consistency in his performances under Stefano Pioli. Leao has been linked with a host of European clubs ahead of the next summer, but Milan are not willing to sell the player on a cheap deal.

According to

Corriere dello Sport

,

Everton

have joined

Wolves

and

Borussia Dortmund

in the transfer race to sign Leao. Despite using the 22-year-old as a backup striker, the Rossoneri will only consider selling the player if their €25m valuation is met in full.

Leao featured in 40 matches for Milan last season, scoring seven goals and providing six assists. With the arrival of

Olivier Giroud

from Chelsea, Leao might push for a move away from Milan as he sees the French striker ahead of him in the pecking order.
