Notwithstanding any prospective offers, Atletico Madrid will not trade their starlet Joao Felix this summer.

Felix's name has been mentioned in a number of transfer rumors this summer, after his €127 million signing from

in 2019.

Since he is still maturing as a footballer, and even though he did dazzle for most of last season, the 21-year-old is readily criticized by many.

As the Rojiblancos won

La Liga

, Felix scored ten goals and provided six assists, and it's that kind of play that has prompted Atleti to take a firm stance on their young Portuguese talent.

According to Marca, Felix is 'untouchable' in this summer window, with the club firmly supporting the 21-year-old ahead of this season.

Atleti expects Felix to keep progressing as he tries to establish himself as the €100 million player he is supposed to be.

However, it appears that he will be given time to show himself, with a sale not expected this summer.
