AC Milan set to renew Franck Kessie's contract

The official proprietor of AC Milan, Elliott Group, has permitted the club to meet Franck Kessie's requests and extend their contract with the Ivorian playmaker.

According to Corriere della Sera, Milan has proposed Kessie a €5.5 million to sign a new contract at San Siro, but the former Atalanta player wants €6 million.

After their contracts ended,

Gianluigi Donnarumma

Hakan Calhanoglu

both left the club on free transfers, and Milan are hoping to prevent a similar scenario for the 24-year-old.

Because Kessie's contract ends in June 2022, the management at Via Aldo Rossi are doing everything they can to persuade him to stay.

According to the article, the Elliott firm has given the green light to negotiate arrangements and obtain as close to the needed amount as feasible.

Kessie, an Ivory Coast international, is expected to compete in the Olympics in the following weeks, but the Diavolo will meet with his agent, George Atangana.

According to the outlet, Rossoneri wants to finalize a deal with the midfielder, who joined the

Serie A

side in July 2017.
