Ryan Bertrand signs two-year deal with Leicester City
Former Southampton left-back Ryan Bertrand has joined Leicester City on a two-year deal.
The former England international signed for the Foxes on a free transfer after the expiry of his contract at
Southampton.
Bertrand is Brendan Rodgers’ third capture of the summer after the arrivals of striker
Patson Daka
from
RB Salzburgand midfielder
Boubakary Soumare
from
Lille.
James Justin is currently recovering from a knee injury so the experienced defender needs to compete with Luke Thomas for a starting role.
Speaking to
LCFC.com, he said
: “I’m really happy to be here; joining Leicester really complimented my inner ambitions and what I still want to achieve in my career.
“Leicester have built something amazing over the years, especially since Brendan Rodgers has come in. It’s fantastic to be a part of this fantastic club and I’m going to give my all to try and do the fans proud.”
