Thu 15 July 2021 | 8:51

The Bianconeri have begun the new campaign yesterday as the squad started taking their medicals.

When vice-president

Pavel Nedved

was quizzed whether Cristiano Ronaldo would remain put, he answered:

“He will be here

.”

He talked about the issue again when revealing the schedule of the new Serie A.

“We have not received any confirmation from his entourage that he wants to leave. We are waiting for him, he will head back on July 25th.”

Juventus

are keen on acquiring

Manuel Locatelli

and should everything go according to the plan, he will join the club.

Nedved added:

“It would not have been fair to talk to him during the Euro, plus he is a Sassuolo player. There will be time to address the matter.”

Arsenal

and

Borussia Dortmund

have also been interested in the 23-year-old midfielder as they made a bid of €35M plus bonuses. Locatelli, however, has set his heart on joining Juventus and if nothing unforeseen occurs, it will be finalized.

The Bianconeri have offered some of their youngsters to be part of the swap deal and not just Radu Dragusin and Nicolò Faggioli, with

Sassuolo

likely to accept one. They are considering Liverpool’s

Marko Gruijc

as Locatelli’s successor, according to

Gianluca Di Marzio

.

Sportitalia

has reported that they are also keeping tabs on Empoli’s Samuele Ricci.
