Barcelona plan to sell goalkeeper Neto
The Blaugrana are keen on selling Neto and their shot-stopper is on the market, as per reports from Diario Sport.
Neto
joined
Barcelonain 2019 and has been the understudy of
Marc-Andre Ter Stegen
ever since. However, both the Brazilian and the club have reached an agreement over his move.
The Blaugrana are dealing with a financial crisis and are determined to demand a good price for the 31-year-old and reduce their wage cap at the same time.
During his first season at Camp Nou, Neto featured in five matches for his side, with two of them being in La Liga, one of them in the Champions League, one in the Copa del Rey and one in the Supercopa de Espana. Last season, he appeared in 12 games for Barca, replacing Ter Stegen as he was dealing with a knee injury.
Neto was aiming to depart Camp Nou last winter but they did not allow the move. The Brazilian thinks he can have more game time if he were to play elsewhere and is eager to earn a spot in Brazil’s squad for the World Cup in 2022.
