After France's shocking exit in the last-16 penalty shootout against Switzerland in Euro 2020, Jules Kounde has just begun his third week of summer break, but his future remains uncertain.

According to

, Sevilla sees Kounde's transfer as a crucial factor in providing Monchi and Julen Lopetegui with the cash they need to improve and freshen the team, but Kounde isn't interested in going anywhere. Tottenham have made an offer for the Frenchman, but he has turned down the offer.

Spurs approached Sevilla concerning the likelihood of meeting with Kounde; however, the Frenchman stated categorically that he has no intention of joining the North London club. They don't compete in the

Champions League

, and he doesn't consider the transfer to be a step up; if he leaves Sevilla, as he has stated, it will be for a team that competes among the best competitions.

Manchester United

are also looking for a center-back; however, the uncertainty surrounding

Raphael Varane

's Real Madrid position has complicated matters. Sevilla will consider a price range of €65-70 million for their finest possession.
