Spain leave for the Olympic Games in Japan

Spain have gone to Japan, where they will be competing in the Olympic Games this summer.

La Roja are going to Japan for this summer’s Olympic Games, but their flight was supposed to be yesterday and due to a mechanical problem, it was delayed.

called up 22 players to be part of the squad, with six of them being from La Roja’s Euro 2020 campaign, as Luis Enrique’s side were eliminated in the semi-final, losing to Italy on penalties.

The six players that are from Euro 2020 squad are Athletic Bilbao’s Unai Simon, Barcelona’s Eric Garcia and Pedri, Villarreal’s Pau Torres, Real Sociedad’s Mikel Oyarzabal and Leipzig’s Dani Olmo.

is going to be the center of attention as the teenager’s profile has been significantly raised over the summer. He was Spain’s best player, being named the young player of the tournament and impressing with his maturity and ability to do well under pressure.
