Atletico Madrid has officially announced that they have signed Rodrigo De Paul.

Udinese’s Argentinian captain has signed a contract with

Atletico Madrid

, who is trying to defend the La Liga crown. The 27-year-old midfielder helped his side in finishing the Serie A season in 14th place, and now he has the chance to play for a team with a far better situation in another league.

De Paul

had impressed other clubs from the Premier League and some of the Serie A sides, but finally, he chose to join the Spanish side to play under Diego Simeone.

The 27-year-old will come to Spain's capital with a €35m deal that commits him to Los Rojiblancos until June 2026. He joined Udinese from Valencia in 2016 and has played184 games for the club, scoring 34 goals and providing 36 assists in his spell in Serie A.

Diego Simeone’s side has won the domestic crown to stand against Barcelona and Real Madrid again in a season that both of those giants showed less quality than what is expected from them, and now they are trying to prove themselves as the new dominant team in the La Liga which won’t be an easy task for them, so we have to wait to see what will happen to them.
