England’s Southgate: ‘We are ready to bring Euro 2020 trophy home’

Roberto Mancini’s side reserved a spot in the Final when they defeated Spain in a penalty shootout while England did the same by beating Denmark in the extra time. Harry Kane grabbed the winner for the Three Lions by scoring a goal from a penalty rebound.

 insists the side are "ready" amid nationwide anticipation as the Three Lions have reached the final of a major tournament for the first time 1966 World Cup.

We're in a final and we are here to win

the Queen

Great Britain’s Prime Minister

, Boris Johnson

, praising the squad's spirit and commitment, the 

England

 boss is uplifted by the ‘fantastic’ letters.

"

Everything is important, how we've represented people and we're pleased that legacy has been there but now we want to go and bring the trophy home for everybody

," the 50-year-old added.

 

The Queen sent an open letter to the English side

 earlier this week that reads: 

"Fifty-five years ago, I was fortunate to present the World Cup to Bobby Moore and saw what it meant to the players, management and support staff to reach and win the final of a major international football tournament.

“I want to send my congratulations and that of my family to you all on reaching the final of the European Championships, and send my good wishes for tomorrow with the hope that history will record not only your success but also the spirit, commitment and pride with which you have conducted yourselves."

 

Italy 

has won 11 matches out of their 27 games against 

England 

and they will lock horns in their tenth Final at an international tournament, while The Three Lions are having their second Final in their history, which is also their first at the Euros.
