The Manchester City manager reached out to the Barcelona star for a potential move.

Antoine Griezmann

has been receiving a lot of criticism after his video has emerged, in which he was mocking Japanese workers, but he issued an apology later.

The timing of the video was not great, especially when speculations have been raising surrounding

considering a move for the Frenchman to make funds for

Lionel Messi

’s contract.

Messi’s new deal is pending as the Blaugrana have to reduce their wage cap. They need to make €170million, which shows that one of their biggest earners has to be sacrificed.

The France international is among those players and as per reports from FootMercato via

Mundo Deportivo

Pep Guardiola

has talked with the French forward over a potential transfer.

Griezmann’s contract at Camp Nou will keep him for another three years, but cashing in on him will help Barca reduce wages and earn money.

According to Transfermarkt, he is worth £54million, but since Barca have acquired his services on a £108million contract two years ago, they are unlikely to accept that bid.
