Nagelsmann confident he can get the best out of Sane

Bayern Munich manager Julian Nagelsmann is confident that he can get the best out of Leroy Sane but the winger needs to be calm to recover his previous form.

Although Sane had a good start following his move from

Manchester City

a year ago, with a goal and two assists on his debut against

Schalke

, he had an up-and-down campaign which nevertheless concluded with six goals and 10 assists in the Bundesliga, and 10 and 12 in 44 games across all competitions.

However,

Nagelsmann

believes the Germany winger can do even better in the coming campaign, and he has made it one of his priorities to restore Sane to his very best.

“It would be good for him if we left him alone in the media. He has outstanding qualities, incredible speed and is one of the best in one-on-one situations. He has a good finish and is also strong in link-up play,”

Nagelsmann said

.

“It’s about bringing his quality on the pitch and increasing his output. That is important, especially against opponents who are in a deep position,”

said Nagelsmann.

“I’m not a wizard either, but I want to show him in training which spaces he has to stand in. We have already had contact. I’m sure we’ll see a stronger Leroy Sane, who will have a big impact on success at Bayern.”
