Noel Le Graet, president of the French Football Federation, has confirmed that Didier Deschamps will remain in charge as France national team boss.

The World champions had been named as one of the biggest favorites to win the Euro 2020 before they suffered a shock exit in their last-16 clash with

Switzerland

.

Despite the disappointing campaign, Le Figaro now report that

Deschamps

will remain in charge as the national team head coach.

President

Noel Le Graet

was asked whether Deschamps would be France manager at the Qatar World Cup in 2022.

"The answer is yes,"

he said.

"I received [the news] on Wednesday at Guingamp. The matter was settled in three minutes. His will is very strong to continue, mine is too.

"There was no debate on, 'What are we doing? And, 'How are do we do it?'"

Deschamps has helped his side transform since taking over as France head coach following Laurent Blanc’s departure in 2012.

He led France to the World Cup glory in Russia two years after their 1-0 extra-time defeat to Portugal in the Euro 2016 final game.
