Real Madrid

. The Spanish goalkeeping coach worked at the U17 team between 2005 and 2008, before being selected as the senior team’s goalkeeping coach in 2015. Llopis started his senior-team job right after

Carlo Ancelotti

left the club in May 2015 and continued to work until 2018. Having worked under Rafael Benitez, Zinedine Zidane, and Julen Lopetegui, the former Athletic Bilbao goalkeeping coach moved to

Real Sociedad

in 2018.

According to

Diario AS

, Llopis is set to return to Real Madrid as he has signed a new two-year deal with the club. The 56-year-old is expected to start his job immediately, with the Blancos squad planning to start their pre-season training in the coming weeks. Ancelotti's son Davide, who worked as his father's assistant at Everton, is also set to join the coaching staff. Following the departure of Zinedine Zidane, the Blancos are keen to start a new era under their former boss Ancelotti, who won the club's tenth Champions League trophy back in 2014.
