The English goalkeeper returned to his former team after a long time.
Free agent goalkeeper Tom Heaton has signed for Manchester United.
With the expiration of the English goalkeeper's contract with Aston Villa, Heaton, who started his football career atManchester United
and has now joined the Red Devils with a contract until 2023.
The 35-year-old goalkeeper will compete with David De Gea and Dean Henderson, while Sergio Romero will leave Old Trafford this summer, and Lee Grant's future is still unknown. After leaving United, Heaton joined Cardiff City, Bristol Sally, Burnley, and Villa, making three international appearances for England.
He told club's website:
"For me to have the opportunity to come back after spending 13 great years here as a kid, it's an incredible feeling and I'm really, really excited to get started.
"I'm just seeing it as a fantastic opportunity as I still feel I've got an awful lot to give and I've got the bit between my teeth.
"I'm looking forward to hitting the ground running. I feel in great shape and I'm looking forward to coming in to compete with the other goalkeepers."
