Martinez says that Hazard and De Bruyne may be unavailable for Belgium’s next match.

Kevin De Bruyne

were injured in

1-0 victory against Portugal in the Euro 2020 round of 16, and their boss

Roberto Martinez

says that they aren’t completely fit, and their situation must be monitored until Friday to see they can help the team or not.

"The initial information that we have from medical staff is positive for both, they will remain with the squad and they have no structural damage,"

said Martinez

"But we are running up against time and it is very difficult to see them fully fit. So, we have to take it day by day to try and get them fit.

"We were all a bit concerned before we got the news from the scans and it was a relief to all that we can now work on trying to get them fit again."

De Bruyne has already missed his side’s opening match because of his injury in the Champions League final, but Eden Hazard has played in Belgium’s all games in the tournament, but now they are both in doubt for their team’s quarter-final match against Italy on Friday.

De Bruyne is suffering from a ligament bruising, and Belgium’s captain, who left the game three minutes before the final whistle, had pulled his hamstring.
