Arsenal knew what I want to do - Xhaka's green light to Roma

Roma wants to sign the Swiss star in the summer transfers.

Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka gave the green light to attend Rome and play under Jose Mourinho, claiming that Arsenal is aware of his decision.

The Arsenal midfielder has played 220 games for the team over five years and has a contract with the club until 2023. He has been in the starting line-up under Mikel Arteta, and now Jose Mourinho, who will manage Roma from next season, is looking to sign him. He is currently with the Swiss national team at Euro 2020, and tonight, in the round of 16, they will face France in Rome. However, he claimed that Arsenal is aware of his decision.

Asked if he loves Italy's capital, he replied: "It’s very nice, yes."

Xhaka joined Arsenal in 2016 for €40 million from Borussia Monchengladbach. Roma intend to hire him for 13 million euros.
