Germany boss insists the most important goal was advancing to the next round of Euro 2020.

in their group stage opener, finally managed to advance to the round of 16 of the competition with a 2-2 draw against

Hungary

last night.

Germany manager Joachim Low, whose side will have to face

England

in the knock out stage, promised that his team would play on a different level against the Three Lions.

Low said:

“We made mistakes but we fought, showed character.

“It was not for the faint-hearted. At the end to come through this group was good and that was the aim.

“What matters is that we are through. Now we play with England and we can look forward to that match.

“It is an absolute highlight to play at Wembley against England.

“We will be a different team than tonight, I can promise you that.”
