, has confirmed that he wants to return toReal Madrid
to see if he can find a place for himself after not being Zidane’s favorite in his time.
Odegaard has ruled out a permanent stay at the London club following the rumors about the negotiations between him and the club, insisting that he is a Real Madrid player and will be with the team in a week and a half.
“The status is that I am a Madrid player and that I will return and start up there in a week and a half.”
The Norway international had a good loan spell at Real Sociedad and returned to Real Madrid, looking for a part in Zidane’s starting lineup, but it didn’t happen, so he asked for a loan move, and the club agreed to give the player to Arsenal and now that Zidane has departed from Santiago Bernabeu the player wants to return to the club to see if he has a chance to have a big role in Carlo Ancelotti’s lineup.
Even though Zidane has left the club, it doesn’t seem like a realistic plan for Odegaard to be thinking about a starter position in the team with players like Luka Modric, Toni Kroos, and Casemiro in the team.
