More than 60,000 fans are expected to be at Wembley for final

There has been an agreement between the

UK government

and

UEFA

about increasing the number of people attending the semi-finals and final of the Euro 2020, and now 75 percent of the stadium’s capacity will be used, allowing more than 60,000 fans to come to

Wembley

.

It will be the biggest crowd attending a sporting event in the UK in the last 15 months.

UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin said:

"This tournament has been a beacon of hope to reassure people that we are returning to a more normal way of life and this is a further step along that road.

"I am grateful to the Prime Minister and the UK government for their hard work in finalizing these arrangements with us, to make the tournament final stages a great success in Wembley."

Only 22,500 were able to attend the games in the group stage, and other countries have been trying to replace the hosting stadium for the semi-finals and final of the Euro 2020, but now with the new agreement between the UK government and UEFA, the situation has changed, and FA chief executive has talked about the matter, admitting that they are excited about the games with more than 60,000 fans.

FA chief executive Mark Bullingham said:

"It's amazing how much atmosphere fans have been able to generate so far, so to have three times as many will be fantastic.

"We have always said that fans are the lifeblood of the game, so it's brilliant that so many will get a chance to see the tournament finale."
