The Chelsea star intends to continue his presence at Stamford Bridge.
defender Antonio Rudiger has assured the club and Thomas Tuchel that he will continue to play for the Blues.
The German defender, who joined Chelsea from Roma in 2017, has a one-year contract with the club and has been linked with a number of clubs in England and Europe. He has been in the starting line-up for both matches for the German national team at Euro 2020 and is also a key defender for Tuchel.
After Tuchel, Rudiger reached the starting line-up of Chelsea and was able to finish a very good season and win the Champions League. However, he will be a free agent at the end of next season and can enter into negotiations with other clubs from January.
Despite these circumstances, the 28-year-old defender has assured Chelsea that he will continue to be part of the team and is committed to his contract. Prior to the winter transfer window, Chelsea had sought to extend Rudiger's contract, but was it was not a successful attemp.
Tottenham, Paris Saint-Germain and AC Milan were among the teams that monitored Rudiger during Lampard's era, but with the presence of Tuchel, the situation changed and he was transferred to the Chelsea starting line-up.
