Buffon joins Parma on a two-year deal

Former Juventus and Italy goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon returns to his old club after 20 years.

After 20 years,

Gianluigi Buffon

has returned to his former club

Parma

on a two-year contract.

Buffon started his career at Parma in 1995 and played for the club for six years, before joining

Juventus

in 2001 and starting his long lasting legacy with the Bianconeri.

After the 43-year-old announced his departure from Juve at the end of the last season, rumors and speculations sparked in regard to his future destination. There were offers from Beşiktaş J.K. and Regatas do Flamengo, however, Buffon decided to stay in Italy and play for Parma in Serie B.

The Italian icon plans to help Parma return to Serie A and will probably hang up his gloves in 2023.
