Breaking News: Sergio Ramos parts ways with Real Madrid

Sergio Ramos has confirmed that he is leaving Real Madrid. Real Madrid captain will announce his decision at a press conference on Thursday.

ends on June 30, with no extension agreement in place. Las Blocos offered a year with a 10% discount but Ramos wanted at least two seasons. There was no agreement and the captain will leave the Madrid club 16 years after his arrival.

A statement from the

club

read:

"Real Madrid CF announces that tomorrow, Thursday, June 17, at 12:30 pm, there will be an institutional act of tribute and farewell to our captain Sergio Ramos, with the presence of our president Florentino Pérez."

The 35-year-old scored 101 goals and provided 40 assists in 671 games for Real Madrid over his 16-year spell at La Liga outfit.

Ramos will say goodbye to Real Madrid alongside four European Cups, four Club World Cups, three European Super Cups, five Leagues, two Copa del Rey titles, and four Spanish Super Cups.

were rumored to be interested in the Spaniard as they look to win the Champions League.
