Memphis Depay has expressed his desire to play under Ronald Koeman amid rumors linking him with a move to Barcelona this summer.

Depay

, who played in his country's

Euro 2020 Group C 3-2 win over Ukraine on Sunday

, is a free agent after he decided not to extend his contract at Lyon.

The 27-year-old previously worked with

Ronald Koeman

in the national team, and according to reports he is set to reunite with the former Oranje manager.

"As I've said before, the transfer will become clear on its own. It remains to be seen, I want to leave it at that," he said at a press conference.

"Everyone knows that I have been linked to them for a long time and that I want to play under Ronald Koeman, let's wait and see. Then the news will come by itself."

He told

NOS

:<em>

"Things are going on, keep an eye on the news, but I haven't signed anything yet."

Former PSV and Manchester United attacker Depay, who scored 76 goals in 178 games in five seasons at Lyon, reached an agreement to sign for Barcelona in October only for the move to fall through.

He has also been linked with a move to

Juventus

, while

Paris Saint-Germain

were also reported to be interested.

When asked if he expects other clubs to pose a threat to the Catalan side in the battle to sign him, he said:

"No, I don't think so."
