Tomori set to join Milan on a permanent deal

The Rossoneri and Chelsea have agreed on new terms regarding Fikayo Tomori’s move to San Siro and it is going to be officially announced soon.

Fikayo Tomori

has been playing for

Milan

on a loan spell since January, with his deal including a purchase option.

The English centre-back was in

Stefano Pioli

’s starting XI regularly, playing in 17 matches in Serie A and finding the target once in the clash against Juventus at the Allianz Stadium.

The Rossoneri have now opted to trigger his buy option and acquire the 23-year-old’s services permanently, as per reports from

. The deal is scheduled to be announced by Friday.

The Serie A giants paid €1m for Tomori’s loan and will pay another €27m to close the deal for his permanent move.

Milan have put pen to paper with

Mike Maignan

, who joined the club from Lille with a transfer fee of €13m.

The Frenchman is aimed to be

Gigio Donnarumma

’s replacement, as the Italian goalkeeper is on the verge of a move to

PSG

when he hits free agency.

With Tomori joining Milan,

Alessio Romagnoli

’s future will be up in the air since his contract is due to expire in 2022.
