The Atalanta midfielder revealed that Granit Xhaka, who is targeted for a move to Roma, ‘asked me how the roads in Italy are’.

Remo Freuler

is getting ready to fight with Italy in Euro 2020’s Group A battle on Wednesday and when talking to

Il Corriere dello Sport

, he mentioned

Granit Xhaka

.

The Arsenal midfielder has been targeted by Jose Mourinho’s Roma and Freuler revealed that the Switzerland international has asked him about Italy.

Earlier he asked me how the roads in Italy are,

” Freuler told Il Corriere dello Sport.

The Swiss midfielder is keen on facing his Atalanta teammates this week.

“It will be very nice to see my teammates again, tomorrow I will send a message to [Rafael] Toloi and [Matteo] Pessina and we will see each other on the pitch on Wednesday.

“I have always dreamed of playing against Italy at least once, I have always said it even in previous years that I would have liked it very much.”

Switzerland’s clash with Wales came down to a 1-1 draw; however, Freuler thinks they are ‘not feeling the pressure’.

“We don’t feel the pressure,”

he continued.

“We took a point and we still have two games that we want to win.”

The Atalanta midfielder, who knows a thing or two about the Italian side, believes Switzerland are going to ‘press Italy to create some problems’ for the national team’s defence.

“We have to play our own game,”

he said

. “We must try to press Italy to create some problems in defence.

“If we are too deep, as Turkey played, everything becomes easier. We have to dribble well, be compact and be able to finish and, hopefully, score.”
