The Leipzig defender says he sympathizes with his former teammate over his struggles at Anfield.

Having left

RB Leipzig

with a £53 million deal,

Naby Keita

joined

Liverpool

in 2018. The Guinean midfielder has struggled to satisfy expectations at Anfield as he has been unable to find his best form under

Jorgen Klopp

. Keita’s former Leipzig teammate

Willi Orban

believes the 26-year-old has a sensitive personality and must feel comfortable to activate his footballing abilities.

Naby is a very sensitive guy who has to feel completely comfortable in his environment in order to perform well,"

the Leipzig defender told

Goal

and

SPOX

.<em>

"You have to take special care of him, talk to him a lot. He needed breaks from time to time, when he was with us.

"The Premier League is certainly even more demanding in this regard.”

When asked to name the most gifted player he has worked with, Orban added: "

Keita with his extraordinary ball control, his dynamism and his finishing. He was just complete."

Keita has featured in only 50 matches for Liverpool over the past three seasons. The Guinean has scored seven goals and provided four assists in his performances for the Reds.
