Denmark vs. Finland to resume at 20.30 as Eriksen is stabilized

Denmark’s Euro 2020 opener against Finland will be resumed tonight, confirmed by the Danish FA and UEFA.

collapsed while playing and was given CPR by medics during his side’s Euro 2020 match with Finland tonight.

Both teams subsequently left the pitch, and the stadium announcer told fans that the game had been suspended due to a medical emergency and to stay in their seats.

Agent Martin Schoots has reassured Inter midfielder Christian Eriksen is ‘awake and can talk’ after the dramatic moments in the European Championship match.

“Christian Eriksen is awake and his conditions are still stable,”

the Danish FA wrote on Twitter.

“He will stay in hospital for further examinations.

UEFA has agreed to restart the match between Denmark and Finland tonight after both sides decided to complete the game.

“The match against Finland will be completed tonight. This happens after the players have been informed that Christian is OK. The match restarts at 20.30 [local time].”

“Following the request made by players of both teams, UEFA has agreed to restart the match between Denmark and Finland tonight at 20.30 CET (TBC),”

the statement said

“The last four minutes of the first half will be played, there will then be a five-minute half-time break followed by the second half.”
