The 34-year-old, who is a youth product of La Masia, started his career playing for Mataro, a local Catalan side. He joinedBarcelona
in 1997 and when he departed the Blaugrana, he was 16. He then made a move to thePremier League
, where he played for eight years before rejoining Barcelona in 2011.
The midfielder contributed to Barcelona’s La Liga title win in 2013 and decided to joinChelsea
for the 2014-15 campaign. Fabregas spent five years with the Blues where he grabbed the Premier League title which saw him eluded at Arsenal in 2015 and 2017.
Fabregas joined his current club Monaco in 2019. He had represented his country Spain for almost a decade, from 2006 to 2016 and helped them win Euro 2008 and 2012 and become the World Cup champions in 2010.
